| DLSA organizes orientation program for lawyers, legal volunteers | | |  Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Feb 4: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kishtwar organized a training cum orientation programme for Retainer Lawyers, Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) and Officials of Department of Posts from District Kishtwar.
The orientation programme was organized under the Chairmanship of Touseef Ahmad Magray (Munsif Judge Kishtwar) cum Secretary, DLSA Kishtwar. The major theme of organizing this training programme was to impart training to Retainer Lawyers/ PLVs and Officials of Department of Posts from District Kishtwar pertaining to the filing of cases by the litigants in inaccessible areas of District Kishtwar. The participants were imparted training with regard to the filing of cases by the litigants from snow bound and inaccessible areas of District Kishtwar through the postal mode.
Anoop Diwan, Post Master of District Kishtwar along-with his team of officials from Department of Posts ensured full cooperation in carrying out this project. As a follow up to this training programme, another training programme with the officials of Postal Department/ Retainer Lawyer / PLV's of inaccessible areas of District Kishtwar has been scheduled after two days as per the training module provided by J & K State Legal Services Authority . The Retainer Lawyers who were present in the training raised issues being faced by them while addressing the problems being faced by people of far flung and inaccessible areas of District Kishtwar.
They were imparted training to make use of information technology and other modern tools for the redressal of grievances of the people pertaining to these areas.
The participants were also trained to make use of the services offered by Department of Posts in these areas so as to ensure that any filing of cases of these areas reaches to the concerned Court within the shortest possible time. |
