DIG JSK Range Jammu visited Samba, held meeting on Border Security gird of Samba/Kathua

Jammu, April, 3rd : Deputy Inspector General of Police, JSK Range, Jammu Sh. Sujit Kumar- IPS visited District Samba and held a meeting with the officers of Army/BSF/ as well as District Police Samba and Kathua at Conference Hall of DPO Samba to review the Border Security Grid especially in light of the of the apprehensions of carrying out of subversive activities by the ANEs to disrupt the peaceful conduct of ensuing Parliamentary Elections 2019.

Dr. Koshal Sharma, JKPS, SSP Samba presented the welcome address and gave a detailed power point presentation on the security set up in the District viz a viz deployment of BSF/Army and District Police Samba in three tiers of security cover on the CI grid of District Samba.

Thereafter similar detailed description of security apparatus put in place in District Kathua was presented by Sh. Shridhar Patil, IPS SSP Kathua.

DIG JSK Range started with one to one interaction with all the participant officers present in the meeting and took stock of their preparedness to effectively deal with the security challenges on account of any hostilities by the terrorist and their mentors across the border especially in light of ensuing Parliamentary elections 2019.

The DIG of Police in the meeting exhorted upon the officers to work in unison and sensitized them about the vulnerability and unpredictability of the situation which may be exploited by the ANEs and desired to fame the strategies jointly in anticipation of possible targets by the ANEs and to work out different modalities accordingly to effectively counter the nefarious designs of the ANEs. It was also stressed upon by the DIG of Police that proper synergy & coordination is the need of the hours and towards this direction, they need to extend extreme patronage towards each other by way of sharing counter intelligence inputs on real time basis for counter terrorism measures accordingly.

The meeting was attended by SSP Samba/Kathua, Addl. SP Samba, Dy. SP Hqrs Samba, SDPOs Vijaypur/Bari-Brahmana, Dy.SP Ops Samba besides the senior officers of Army & BSF deployed in Samba and Kathua district.

DIG of Police JSK Range thanked the all the officers for sparing their valuable time and sharing of valuable suggestions aimed at to ensure enhancing of counter insurgency measures for maintaining peace and harmony in the region.
