Guest Lecture organized at Reasi Campus, JU

Jammu, Apr 3: A guest lecture was organized at Reasi Campus, University of Jammu today. The objective of such programmes is to provide an opportunity to the students and the staff of the Campus to interact with the senior experienced faculty of the University and other leading academic institutions. Dr. Hema Gandotra from Department of Sociology, University of Jammu was the main speaker on the occasion.
Prof. Pawanesh Abrol, Director, Reasi Campus while formally welcoming the main speaker emphasized the need of such initiatives to enhance the academic exposure and get abreast with latest developments in the subject. Prof. Pawanesh reiterated that the students and staff of the Reasi Campus, University of Jammu have good potential in terms of academics and research growth. While elaborating the achievements of the Campus, Prof. Pawanesh said that the students are doing better both in academics and other co-curricular activities. Dr. Hema Gandotra in her lectures discussed various issues related to environment and sustainable development.
Dr. Hema discussed in detail various social, economic and environmental components of the sustainable development. Dr. Hema also elaborated different environmental movements and laws for protecting the environment along role of the students of sociology in the conseravation and development of environment around us. Dr. Nisha Sharma, Lecturer, conducted the proceedings of the event. Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Sharma, Manoj Kumar, and Narayan Singh besides the students of all the semester attended the programme.
