Annual Purmandal Chhari Yatra organized

Jammu, Apr 4: Continuing with the tradition, the 25th Purmandal Chhari Yatra was organized by Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Gandhi Nagar Jammu on here today under the leadership of Gulchain Singh Charak, President of the Trust and Former Minister.
The maces, whose Pooja Archana was arranged at Shri Ranbishwar Mandir yesterday to save time to reach historical Purmandal Shrines, were taken out. Firstly to Shri Raghunath Ji Mandir for Pooja on this morning and there from the maces reached Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Gandhi Nagar. The holy maces were received by the Management Committee. Vidhipurvak Puja was conducted by the learned priests of Sanskrit Vidayalay and Shastris of Mandir. Kavinder Gupta former Deputy Chief Minister, Vikram Randhawa MLC, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor and local councillor Bhanu Mahajan, along with Management Trustees and hundreds of local devotees participated in Puja of holy maces.
After completion of Puja, the holy maces were kept in beautifully decorated Rath for onward journey in a long procession, where hundreds of devotees chanting Bham Bham Bhole proceeded to Shri Mahadev Mandir Shastri Nagar alongwith above dignitaries. From there the Rath Proceeded to Shiv Mandir Greater Kailash-Narsinghdev Ji Mandir and Data Ranpat Dev Ji Mandir Birpur then to Kharah Madana where large number of devotees, besides members of Muslim and Sikh biradari led by Haji Bashir Ahmed Malik and S. Kulbir Singh had arranged refreshment for the participants to show solidarity of all religions and finally the Yatra reached at Holy Purmandal Shrines where the Maces were received by the Purmandal-Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee along with thousands of devotees along with prominent persons of the area and members of the Langar Sahayak Samiti Bari Brahmana.
Former Minister Th. Gulchain Singh Charak representing Shri Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K and Purmandal/Utterbehni Shrines Development Committee congratulated the devotees for successfully carrying out the Holy Chhari yatra for the last 25 years and hoped Lord Shiva will bless all of us for this pious cause. He thanked the Nodal Officer appointed by the District Administration Samba and his colleagues for his efforts for the success of the Yatra but expressed his anguish and concern for the non-cooperation of the Surinsar-Mansar Tourist Development Authority under which this area falls due to which people visiting these Shrines have to face tremendous difficulties. He also thanked the saints and SP Verma of Dharmarth Trust for their support for the success of the Yatra.
