| Academic excellence award ceremony organised | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 5: Keeping alive the traditions of excellence and awarding the achievers who excelled in academics, co-scholastic, sports and other activities held during the session 2018-19 Carmel organised the Annual Academic Excellence Award Ceremony amidst much joy, cheer and applause Friday.
Dr. Nitasha Ghai graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and was accorded a warm welcome by the School Manager Rev Fr. Shaiju Chacko and Principal Sr. Maria Swati A.C. The Programme commenced with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest followed by a prayer service to invoke the blessings of the almighty. A beautiful and splendid rendition by the school choir won every heart present. The main attraction was a mesmerising dance performance by the senior students on the song "Aashaien".
The Chief Guest gave away the certificates and rewarded Founded Prizes to the meritorious students for their academic excellence. The School Manager, Rev. Fr. Shaiju Chacko felicitated the Carmelites who excelled in co-scholastic activities and Olympiads held during the last session. Principal Sr. Maria Swati A.C. distributed medals and certificated to the students who exalted in Abacus, Vedic Maths, Sports (State & National Level) and Quiz competitions throughout the previous year.
Harpreet Kour mentioned about the achievements of the students in various activities and congratulated the faculty and staff for excellent work done in sustaining the all round growth of the school. The grand spectacle came to a close with the school song.
