Woes of poor go unnoticed as parties pit people against each other
Real face of politicians in JK gets exposed

Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 5: Real face of Jammu and Kashmir's politicians is getting exposed as not even a single political group has broken lull over the 60 thousand daily wagers who are without salaries for the past one year.
NC, PDP, Congress and BJP all in unison are raking up emotive and imaginary issues while as maintaining stoic silence on the plight of these ill- fated daily rated workers. There are heart wrenching pictures of the children of daily wagers who protested at various places, holding placards in their hands, urging the Governor to listen to their plight and address it on humanitarian grounds.
Meanwhile, there is not even a single politician who could speak over the issues confronting the daily wagers and ask the government to address it on merits.
"Where are the leaders of those political parties who claim to be our representatives and assure us that their politics will always be for the people, unrepresented and downtrodden class," said Abdul Hameed Bhat, a state government employee based in central Kashmir.
He said that the political groups are busy seeking votes in the name of Mandir Masjid and care least about the real issues before the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
"The political parties are busy dividing us on the basis of religion, colour, cast and creed. It is sometimes 35-A and sometimes separate PM demand. Sometimes they speak about giving Kashmir to Pakistan and sometimes the contesting candidates want militants to support them. However, not even a single political party is raising the peoples' issues," reads the status of one netizen while reacting to the protests being done by daily rated workers of the state.
Furthermore, as these daily wagers and casual labourers have been protesting for the past one week in different parts of the state, there are statements related to separate PM, separate President, talks with Pakistan, Article 35-A, and appeals made to defeat the communal elements.
