Central leadership ignores wishes, aspirations of Jammu, Ladakh candidates
To safe-guard Mir's seat, Cong high-command crosses all limits to appease anti-national elements

Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 5: To 'safeguard' victory of Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Congress high command appears to be ready to sacrifice three Parliamentary constituencies of Jammu, Udhampur and Ladakh. The only concerned of Congress high command is to ensure victory of its 'blue-eyed boy' Mir at any cost
Election manifesto of the Congress and guarded silence maintaining by party leadership on high provocative and controversial statements of National Conference and PDP leaders have authenticated the allegation that one and only concern of Congress high command is ensure victory of Mir, who is contesting election against PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti from Anantnag parliamentary constituency.
Credible sources said that Congress high command has given clear directions to Jammu based leaders not to counter any anti-national statements of NC or PDP leaders. "When Omar Abdullah has demanded separate Prime Minister for J&K, some party leaders had decided to oppose this statement but they were snubbed by the high command", sources and observed that Congress high command was not ready to annoy separatist or anti-national elements of Kashmir Valley because these elements can play important role in Mir's victory. Similarly not even a single Congress leader was allowed to give party's view point on Mehbooba Mufti's warning to secede from India on the issue of Article 35-A and 370.
Demands of diluting Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) and withdrawing Disturbed Area Act were included in the election manifesto of the party only to facilitate Mir to get vote of sympathizers of militants.
Congress high command, sources said, is very much that pursuing pro-separatist line would be proved counter-productive in Jammu province where party is giving tough fight to BJP but still party's central leadership is ready to spoil chances of two candidates of Jammu province and one seat of Ladakh. On Kathua-Udhampur-Doda constituency Congress candidate Vikramaditya Singh is working hard and giving tough fight to BJP but Congress high command's anti-Jammu and pro-separatist attitude is creating problem for Singh.
