GDC Billawar holds series of activities during punctuality week

Billawar, Apr 5: Government Degree College Billawar organized poster making competition on the theme of Punctuality as a part of series of activities during ongoing punctuality week. A large number of students participated in poster making competition.
On the occasion, the Principal of the college Prof. Jugal Kishore Sharma was the chief guest. While delivering speech he emphasized on the significance of punctuality in one's life to lead successful life. He also stressed on the value of time management and discipline in achieving greater heights in career. The Punctuality week was commenced on 1st April, 2019 and during the week number of activities including spreading awareness about importance of punctuality, surprise check of classes, observance of no leave day, rally by NSS Volunteers were organized in the campus premises.
In the poster making competition students namely Mansi Billawaria Semester 2nd was adjudged as first position while Shivali Sihotra 6th Semester and Sparshika Sharma stood second and third position respectively. All faculty members were also present on the occasion At the end, awards and certificates were distributed to the participants. During the week, students were sensitized about the importance of punctuality to become successful in life. Later, Prof. Mohammad Maqeem delivered vote of thanks to the gathering. The whole activities were coordinated under the overall convenership of Prof. Sindhu Kotwal.
