Seminar on Emerging Trends, Career options in IT organised

Jammu, Apr 10: A one day Seminar on Emerging Trends & Career options in IT was organized by the department of Computer Science in collaboration with NIIT, Jammu.
The resource person Bhupender Aujla, North Territory Head NIIT delivered a talk on Career Building Options in IT. He deliberated upon the need of upliftment of the student towards the new age career options so that the students could compete in the new environment of Information Technology. He also enlightened the students about the trends and current scenario of Jobs in the market. Shakun Sharma (Head, NIIT Gandhinagar) also spoke about the emergence of It in every field of life. She stressed upon the students to be skilled in IT. It is a platform using which students can be self-employed.
In the second session, the students of BCA semester -VI displayed their project proposals to be submitted for the fulfillment of their degree. The projects were reviewed by Aradhana Wali Sharma, (Technical Head NIIT Jammu), she gave her expert opinion on the showcased projects and took a doubt clearing session with them. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Preeti Dubey to the NIIT team for the seminar. She also thanked Dr.Hemla Aggrawal for her initiative of collaborating with NIIT to provide exposure to students of Computer Scienece about new career options in IT.
