Kishtwar, Apr 10: Even Union Minister of State Dr Jitendra Singh had reached Kishtwar on Tuesday just after getting information about attack on RSS leader Chander Kant, everybody in the mountainous belts are asking what the Union Minister has done to get case of the sensational killing of Parihar brothers investigated?
Anil Parihar and Ajeet Parihar were killed on November 1, 2018 and more than five months have been passed but police has failed to get even a lead in that sensational killing executed by terrorists. Incident occurred in the constituency of Jitendra Singh but he failed to get the case solved.
Being a Union Minister, that too in the Prime Minister Office (PMO), Jitendra Singh has potential to use his influence to get the case solved but he failed to do so reasons best known to him.
Today people in Kishtwar, Doda, Bhaderwah and other areas are recalling services rendered to them by then Union Minister Prof Chaman Lal Gupta who had played very important role in boosting moral of the people when militancy was at its peak.
People are alleging that except giving statements to address the galleries Dr Jitendra Singh has done nothing to remove prevailing fear psychosis among residents of this region who have been onslaught to terrorism after repeated intervals.
Meanwhile according to media reports, as per cosmetic exercise which he had done after killing of Parihar brothers, Dr Jitendra called upon police to track down the militants involved in the killings.
Dr Jitendra Singh also spoke to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Governor Satya Pal Malik and Advisor Incharge Home K Vijay Kumar from Kishtwar and called for regular patrolling in Kishtwar on the lines of Kashmir valley to ensure that the militancy is curbed.
Later, Rajnath talked to the Governor over phone to take assessment of the situation following the killings.
Dr Jitendra Singh said the attack was aimed at disturb communal harmony in the district and called upon the people to maintain peace. He added that regular patrolling will act as deterrent to the militancy.
