| One arrested with weapons | | | Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Apr 10: Police claimed to have arrested one person and recovered two guns including a 12 Bore Rifle Single Barrel along with eight live cartridges and a Desi gun from his possession at Vijaypur in district Samba here today.
The accused has been identified as Rakesh Azad son of Parma Nand of Chak Manga Rakwal area of Samba.
According to police sources, during the naka checking at Rakh Barotian Point near Vijaypur, police party intercepted a vehicle bearing registration DL3CAE-0316 which was on its way from Samba to Jammu. During checking of the car police recovered one 12 Bore Rifle Single Barrel, 8 live cartridges and one Desi Gun while arrested the accused on spot. In this regard a case FIR No 54/2019 U/S 3/25 Arms Act registered against him in Vijaypur station and started investigation. |
