Vikramaditya condemns Kishtwar killings, terms it 'complete administrative failure'

Early Times Report

REASI, Apr 10: Senior Congress leader and party's Lok Sabha candidate from Udhampur-Doda-Kishtwar Constituency Vikramaditya Singh on Wednesday strongly condemned the Kishtwar terrorist attack in which one RSS activist and his PSO were killed by terming it as 'barbaric, brutal and most unfortunate'. The Congress candidate said that the killing of RSS leader at the hands of terrorists is a major intelligence failure and also raises a big question mark on the working of administration, which once again proved to be 'lethargic' as far as its responsibility on ensuring security and safety of the people is concerned. Vikramaditya was addressing a series of public meetings in Reasi District. He said that violence has no place in the civilized society and hoped that the people will unitedly face the challenge posed by elements inimical to peace and tranquility. Vikramaditya Singh while lambasting the sitting MP and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh for grossly neglecting the Reasi belt said it is ironical that the BJP MP who never gets tired of boasting his own so called 'colossal achievements' which are 'missing' on the ground, is unaware of the miseries being faced by the people of this region which have nominal access to basic amenities like power, drinking water, ration, health care facilities, good schools, roads, etc. Except announcements and proclamations about Achhe Din, Dr Jitendra Singh has done nothing substantial for the people of Reasi who still are forced to travel to Jammu even for the treatment of common fever as facilities in Reasi are namesake.
