DDC Srinagar directs complaint against Farooq Abdullah to SSP Srinagar

Jammu, June 9: Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (IAS) District Magistrate, Srinagar has sent the complaint of Sukesh c Khajuria, an eminent social activist seeking initiation of action under section 196 Crpc against National Conference President and former Chief Minister of J&K Dr. Farooq Abdullah for alleged sedition charges for his seditious remarks that " POK belongs to Pakistan" to the Senior Superintendent of Police , Srinagar Dr. Mohd.Haseeb Mugal.
Sukesh c.Khajuria former member of Prominent Citizen's Advisory Committee constituted by J&K Govt had sought information through a RTI application Dt. 30-03-2019 regarding action taken report (ATR) of his complaint Dt.17-11-2017. In its reply, the office of the District Magistrate, Srinagar informed on 30-05-2019 that the complaint has been forwarded to Senior Superintendent of Police, Srinagar and necessary response to the communication has not yet been received by this office. In an application to the District Magistrate, Jammu Dt.17-11-2017, Khajuria has urged for filing complaint against Dr.Farooq Abdullah & Actor Rishi Kapoor for Commission of offence under section 124-A RPC (Sedition) and other relevant provisions of Law.
It is pertinent to mention here that the office of The District Magistrate, Jammu informed that the said complaint has been forwarded on 30-11-2018 to District Magistrate, Srinagar and Mumbai for taking necessary action as per relevant provisions of Law.
