Jammu, June 9: A dealer in Akhnoor is reportedly selling cylinders from consumers' quota for commercial purposes without knowledge of the consumer.
A victim of dealer's malpractice recently filed a complaint with Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Akhnoor with relevant documents. "Three cylinders issued from my quota during third week of May this year", said an LPG consumer, from Akhnoor, Sunil Kumar and added that he came to know about un-authorised 'transaction' through, SMS from HP Gas.
"Last, I get issued a cylinder from the dealer on May 20, 2019 for CashMemo vide number 1055909", he claimed and added that three more cylinders were issued on his name and he got a subsidy in his account.
"On 22nd May, 2019 I got subsidy of Rs 256.83 and same amount was credited in my account for another cylinder issued from his quota 23rd of May, 2019, it did not end here, on 27th of May, 2019 I got subsidy in my account for another cylinder", he said.
He further said that he rushed to concerned dealer to know about the four cylinders issued on his name. "The dealer, said that he has issued four cylinders from his quota to a sweetshop owner, but you can keep the subsidy", claimed Sunil, and added that what he would do with the subsidy. "It is difficult to manage with already fixed quota, if you lost four cylinders out of an year quota of nine cylinder, how you will meet your requirement", he said.
Sunil said disappointed over dealer's irresponsible act, he filled a complaint with SDPO Akhnoor on 8th of June expecting action against the dealer.
When contacted SDPO Akhnoor Ajay Sharma acknowledged that he has received a complaint, and action would be taken.
