| Ronik demands Women College for Poonch | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 9: Advocate Ronik Sharma convenor Roots in Pojk has demanded women college for the girl students at poonch city . He said there is no women college in district Poonch and sanction has been accorded by the Goverment for the new 50 colleges with in J&k state and 10 Government Degree colleges for women in cities and towns where there are no separate women colleges and where the roll in the existing colleges/colleges is very high. The government has also constituted a committe vide order no. 1462 GAD of 2018 dated 25-09-2018 which shall continue as standing committe to examine the feasibility/location for the new Degree colleges .The said committee will also submit report by 31-07-2019. Mr Sharma strongly appealed to the standing committe for new Degree colleges and state administrative council to consider this long pending demand of the sensitive border district of poonch to start a women Degree at poonch city so that the Girls from the far flung area of the border district can easily avail education . The opening of the new Women degree college at Poonch will also give benefit to the girl students who are residing near Line of Control . |
