JAMMU, June 27: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Thursday asked people to wake up to strive for the bright future of their coming generations.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas Munish told the people that there are many issues which common man faces in his day to day life but most of these issues have remained unaddressed due to the "lackadaisical attitude" of the elected representatives. "I have come to you people to seek your support. I have taken the one step forward by deciding to contest the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. I cannot succeed till you come forward and support me. I need your Ashirvaad to make a new beginning. I assure you that if I win I will strive for securing the future of our children, who need our help and support to build their careers and lives. I need your support change our destinies," said Munish.
He said, "I know it's not easy to challenge the politicians who have been calling the shots for the past so many years and have made the common man believe that they only can rule the state. We have to stand on our own feet and then strive for a change. We need to change our mindsets and give new people a chance."
Munish said, "For past one month I have visited almost all the areas of Gandhi Nagar constituency. All these areas present a dismal picture and are without basic amenities. We have to put our act together to bring the much needed change but it cannot come till we decide to strive for it." |
