Sha’s visit to Kashmir was limited to upgrading security for the coming yatra
6/28/2019 11:20:59 PM
Was the recent visit to the state of Jammu and Kashmir buy the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, meant to understand the ground realisties in the Kashmir valleybed Union Home Minister Amit Shah meant to understand the ground realities of the valley indicators visit was to understand the fravity of the problem vis-a-vis atrocities being committed by the security forces. Certainly not. His visit was meant to ensure that visit to Jammu and Kashmir may help him in ensuring the upogradatuon of the security grid in connection with the ensuing Amarnath yatra. But Omar Abdullah has attributed a new meaning to Amit Shahs two visit to Kashmir. The Government of India (GoI) understand better the ground situation of the state and this to change its approach towards it.
"After the two-day visit of the Union home minister to J&K, I hope there is a better understanding of the ground realities of the situation and the need to change the approach to the state," tweeted National Conference vice president. Shah is currently on a two-day tour to J&K. He arrived here Wednesday and reviewed the overall security situation in the state including the arrangements for the upcoming Amarnath yatra.
The home minister also reviewed the development scenario of the state at a high-level meeting attended by top officials from the state and the Go signal.
To be precise Amit Shah visited Kashmir to ensure that the security grid was upgraded so that no yatra faced any inconvenience. Well announcement from Hizbul Mujahideen says that no members of the Amarnath rally could be attacked because they are "our guests." This means that Yatra would be allowed to complete the darshan of ice lingam inside the shrine of Amarnath. Yes, there are multiple militant outfits and it is not necessary to bank on the announcement of Hizbul Mujahideen. Apart from separatists, militants do attach importance to the yatra and they may not dare to kick start any trouble, and once some yatri were attacked it would give a bad name to the ongoing struggle. The struggle for freedom may be nicknamed as communal card that may be result in the non-completion of a yatra. Any attack on Yatra may find repercussion in other states. Omar Abdullah says that Shah also reviewed the development plan if he had done so it was part of his mission. But the main mission was to secure yatra and its fallout in the rest of the country.
