Udhampur, June 28: A two day 'Back to Village' programme was observed in the panchayat Badhota of tehsil and block Panchari at Middle School Kousal. The visiting officer received a warm welcome by PRIs and general public of the Panchayat. The program was aimed at taking governance to the doorsteps of the rural and remote areas, energising and directing development efforts in rural areas through community participation. The Visiting officer B.K.Mahajan while on the tour of the area accompanied with officials of line departments Sanjeev Kumar AEA, Sanjeev Suryavanshi Horticulturist and others inspected different schools, PHC at Dhandi and PMAY houses of panchayat which were mostly under construction, Ponds,Bowlis and other natural sources and suggested the panchayat body to tap the unutilised water of Ponds,Bowlis and other natural sources for Judicious use in near future. They advocates for Rain Water Harvesting techniques be adopted as per PM's Message of Water Conservation especially during upcoming Monsoons. 'Gram Sabhas' was also convened by the visiting officer He also shared the feedback about government schemes like PM-KISAN, PM Shram-Yogi Maandhan etc with them and sought redressal of their grievances. PM's message to Sarpanchs regarding water conservation as well as oath of 'Swachta hi Sewa' under Swacch Bharat Abhiyan was read out in the meeting. |
