Poonch, July 24: The assurances of good governance notwithstanding, the locals of Poonch see no accountability in the offices.
Locals from different areas of Poonch, Mandi, Loran, Sawjian, Ajote, Surankote and Bafliaz said, "the sahab is always found absent on a visit to any office in the district. "
They said even the ACD remains absent very often and every time evades action from the seniors.
Wali Mohd Sheikh, Mohd Ibrahim, Mohd Rashid, Bashir Ahmed and many others have appealed to Governor Satya Pal Malik to provide competent deputy commissioner for the border district.
