IAS officers on deputation leave J&K bureaucrats overburdened

Udhampu, July 24: Bureaucracy in Jammu and Kashmir is really working hard to run affairs of the government smoothly as about a dozen top Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers who are experts in various fields are out of the State on deputation.
Besides of the remaining juniors, four IAS officers are out for training purpose.
Sources informed that senior most IAS officer in J&K, Braj Raj Sharma of 1984 batch is presently on deputation at Department of Border Management, GoI from March 5 this year while Rakesh Kumar Gupta another IAS officer of batch 1986 is on deputation at Union Public Service Commission from June 1, 2018.
Also, Pradip Kumar Tripathi, IAS officer of batch 1987 is on deputation at Departmet of Personnel & Training, Minister, GoI from 22-7-2017; Sudhashu Panday, IAS officer of batch 1987 is posted as Joit Secretary at Departmet of Commerce, GoI from 16-11-12 and Sundeep Kumar Nayak, IAS officer of batch 1988 is posted as Managing Director at National Cooperative Development Corporation of India from 1-12-2017
Raj Kumar Goyal, IAS officer of batch 1990 is posted as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor at Ministry of External Affairs, GoI from 15-4-2019.
Shantmanu, IAS officer of batch 1991 is posted as Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) at Ministry of Textiles, GoI from 16-5-2017
Shaleen Kabra, IAS officer of batch 1992 is posted as Principal Secretary to the Government Home Department from 8-2-2019.
Bipul Pathak, IAS officer of batch 1992 is posted as Joint Secretary at Ministry of Mines, GoI from 21-6-2017
Ashok Kumar Parmar, IAS officer of batch 1992 is posted as Joint Secretary at Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, GoI from 12-3-2017
Dr Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, IAS officer of batch 2001 is posted as Private Secretary to the Minister of Human Resource Development, GoI from 12-1-2018.
Mandeep Kaur, IAS officer of batch 2004 is posted as Deputy Secretary Department of Revenue, GoI from 3-10-2016.
Tasneem Maajid, IAS officer of batch 2004 is posted as Director Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, GoI from 1-7-2018.
Meanwhile, officers out on training are-Bilal Mohiud Din Bhat (batch 2017), Santosh Sukhadeve (batch 2017), Faz Lul Haseeb (batch 2018) and Dinesh Kumar (batch 2018).
Sources informed that this inadequate number of officers in the State is one of the reasons behind the delay in completion of projects and improper implementation of government sponsored schemes here.
Though it is mandatory for the civil servants to devote some part of their service tenure outside the State, yet to cope with the situation here authorities have given additional charges to many of the officers.
