Reasi, July 24: A meeting regarding final preparations for the upcoming Kousar Nag Yatra was held here today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Indu Kanwal Chib.
The DC took stock of all preparations being put in place for successful conduct of the meeting. The meeting was told that around 2000 pilgrims are expected to throng the holy lake this year.
DC Indu Kanwal Chib also took stock of sanitation, transport, supply of drinking water and ration etc. She also directed representatives from Health Department to keep an ambulance and a team of doctors, pharmacists and nursing orderly ready with stock of essential medical facilities. Security aspects were also discussed with Additional Superintendent of Police.
In addition to the above, provisions regarding temporary toilets, registration, publicity of the yatra etc were also reviewed at the meeting.
Additional DC, Rajinder Sharma; SDM Dharmari, SDM Mahore and various other district officers were also present at the meeting.
Members from Kousar Nag Yatra Committee also participated in the meeting. |
