Can't rely on politicians who have done nothing: Munish to people
Day 63: Mass contact programme continues
7/27/2019 12:01:55 AM
Early Times Report
Jammu, July 26: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Friday said that people of Jammu cannot afford to rely on the politicians, whose report card has been nothing but a big zero.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas for the 63rd day today, Munish said, "It's really unfortunate that people who have represented us during all these years had a myopic vision. They focused on their own development rather than the development of people."
"We need leaders who become the true representatives of people and don't work for their vested interests. Today everyone in Jammu is asking one question what happened to the promises of development and providing basic amenities to the people," said, Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency.
"The forthcoming Assembly polls are a golden opportunity for all of us to change our destiny. We should vote for the leaders who want to work for the people and are really concerned about the development of the Jammu region," said Munish.
He said, "I have come to my people with an open heart and if my people vote for me I assure them that they will not regret their decision. I have broken the shackles by deciding to contest the elections. I hope my people will also rise above the old beliefs and will provide me with a chance to serve them."
Munish said, "We can't rely on the people who during all these years have fed us with slogans and rhetoric. Time has come to show them their right place and vote for a change."
