Doda, Aug 1: The story of a physically challenged girl Sangeeta Devi of Malwana Jagir is really disturbing. She has appealed to Governor and district administration Doda for financial assistance to pursue her studies.
Sangeeta Devi Daughter of Prem Lal resident of village Maslal (Malwana Jagir) of District Doda face the challenges b ravely. She studies in 9th standard at Government High School Malwana and is suffering from Polio. Unable to walk on her own, her mother carries her daily to school and back home.
Sangeeta is the only daughter of her parents. Her father Prem Lal has lost his both eyes and is physically and mentally ill. Her mother is also a patient she had got her eyes operated last year.
Sangeeta gets Rs one thousand from the government and that is what the family has to make ends meet.
Despite all odds Sangeeta is determined to continue her education. She wants to become a doctor.
She has appealed to the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik and Deputy Commissioner Doda to release financial assistance in her favour so that she achieves her cherished goal.
District Social Welfare Officer, Zubair Ahmed, assured full support and will help in every basic needs which she required.
