Jammu, Sept 2: A team from Range Forest Office (RFO) Kalakote retrieved 50 Kanal of forest land encroached by two people including one government teacher.
According to sources, on the basis of a complaint filed in office of Conservator of Forest (CF) West Circle Jammu the department took actions.
"Nambardar of village Jameet Singh and Naib Sarpanch Balbir Singh have submitted a written complaint to CF West Circle Jammu B. Mohandass alleging encroachment on forest land by Ghulam Qadir (teacher) and Mohd Fazal both residents of village Garanbala, Tehsil Kalakote", sources said, adding that accordingly the CF directed to DFO Rajouri to take action immediately.
"DFO Rajouri Sanjay Gupta, constituted a team led by Mahroof Shah, Range Forest Officer (RFO) Kalakote, the team today rushed on spot and retrieved the land, during the drive a Kuccha structure erected over the said land has also been dismantled", they added. |
