Injured in stone pelting Kupwara youth narrates horrific tale of woes

Jammu, Sept. 2: The menace of stone pelting in Kashmir valley continue to take toll of innocent lives beside making a common people to suffer for no fault of their,s.
After the death of a trucker in Bijbihara area of South Kashmir few days ago, the stone pelters wreck havoc in Kupwara area of north Kashmir in which many innocent people suffered injuries and are being treated in various hospitals of Kashmir valley.
In one such latest incident of stone pelting, Mohammad Shafi who was injured in stone pelting while he was on way to home in Kupwara District in a passenger vehicle when stone pelter army attack the vehicle as a result of which he (Shafi) received serious injury in his head and is presently undergoing treatment for his head injury in a local Srinagar hospital.
While narrating his horrific story in a video telecasted by Mumbai based English news channel "Times Now", the injured Mohammad Shafi when asked about what happened to him at the time when was inside vehicle which was attacked by the stone pelters and about his awareness from where the stone came that hits him, the injured Mohammad Shafi told the news channel that it was dark when the incident took place.
"Driver was driving a vehicle and I was sitting in the middle seat of the vehicle when stone came in and injured me after it hit me-- At first I thought it was a fire than I found it a stone that hurt me badly on my head" said the victim while showing his injury.
When asked whether it was a stone or shell (referring to tear gas shell), the injured said that it was not a shell-- it is indeed a stone-- You can find it which is still laying inside the vehicle-- When it hit me-- blood started oozing out of my head-- it is very painful.
He said that had it been the fire (bullet)-- the windows of the vehicle would have been broken with a bang sound of fire-- but this is not the case-- it is stone that hit and injured me-- I lost around two bottles of blood due to this injury.
In a question whether it is Sharp edged stone or round stone, the injured said that it is stone which he saw and can't says how it look likes added that he only saw blood was oozing out from the injured head.
A lady who accompanied the injured said that the stone that hit Mohammad Shafi could be found from the locked vehicle-"which type of stone it was-- it still lies inside the vehicle" said the lady added that keeping in view of the injury, the stone might be sharp edged stone that causes such injury.
The injured Shafi said that he was feeling pain-" it is very painful" he said.
The people present inside the hospital could be heard saying that "This stone pelting must be stopped-- it causes lot of inconvenience to the people-- they must protest in peaceful manner if they want".
The injured said that they continue to pelt stones-"we ran away and save the life-- I tried hard to put cloth on my injury to stop free flow of blood-- Even though I put cloth on it-- the blood didn't stop oozing out".
The people present in the hospital tried to console him and offered some juice to him-while the injured tells them that he had asked for a tea and described how painful it is all about and expressed his pain and agony to the people visiting him.
The senior government officials blames the Pakistan for orchestrating the stone pelting in Jammu and Kashmir added that those involved in stone pelting are paid agents working at behest of Pakistan sponsored terror operatives present in the newly created Union Territory to destabilize the peace and tranquility.
BJP State President Ravinder Raina also blame the Pakistan for promoting the stone pelting in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir though their paid agents and term the stone pelters as "Drug addicted" force which aim to attack and threaten the peace loving people and called for stern action against stone pelters.
