9/2/2019 11:04:02 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sep 2: Editor Early Times Munish Gupta on Monday asked people to prepare themselves for a bigger role as Jammu is all set to change.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in Ajeet Nagar, Munish said, "Reorganisation of Jammu and Kashmir has provided people Jammu region a chance to set their agenda."
"Time has changed, the leaders who have been taking us for a ride, for past 70 years, cannot rule the people anymore. They have to tell us, why they failed to build a new Jammu", said Munish who would be contesting forthcoming assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar Constituency.
He said, "The upcoming assembly elections will be fought on completely different agendas, but for the people only agenda is development. You should ask to your former representatives to present their report cards, when they ask for vote."
Munish said, "During that past three months has visited areas and met many people from different walk of life." "There is strange disconnect between the common peoples and the leaders, who have represented them, people have common complaints that after winning the elections the politicians become inaccessible", he added.
Munish reiterated, "If I win the elections, I assure my people that I would not let them down and will try my best to make their lives easy."
