Early Times Report

Udhampur, Sept 2: In utter violation of set norms, government sales depots of Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs In Udhampur are being run by retired employees of the department. Making the starling exposure sources informed that such depots at Tikri, Sundrani, Chenani, Ramnagar etc are being run by retired employees of CAPD department. They also said that even some of these depots are being run on proxy basis meaning to say that the depot has been registered on someone else's name while it is being operated by someone else who is already retired.
In one such case the operator of such proxy depot has bungled funds to the tune of lakhs of rupees and the man (who already run one depot under municipal limit in honest manner) on whose name the depot has been registered has no idea about this wrong doing. "The innocent man may get trapped for no fault of his as the depot has been registered.
Sources informed that retired government employees who run these depots know the loop holes and escape routes and they easily bungle money. When concerned official was contacted in this regard, his phone was not-reachable.
