Chief Commissioner IT appeals to stop using single use plastic

Jammu, Nov 1: On an initiative (Swacch Bharat Swacch Dhan awareness for a clean/Green Environment) taken by Binay Kumar Jha, IRS Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Ludhiana & Amritsar programme for removal of plastic litter and make people aware about the need to stop using single use plastic.
More than 2000 schools in Punjab and J&K have participated in this activity today on 1st Nov.,2019 in and around the school or in other public places nearby having plastic litter to spread the message against single use plastic far and wide.
The Department invites all other schools, colleges and citizens to join hands in this Jagriti Mission for a clean and healthy India by removing plastic waste from their own places, prevent littering and to avoid use of single use plastic to help clean the environment. Prominent schools which participated in this activity across J&K are R.M. Public Her. Sec. School, Chowdhi, Pragmatic School, Krishna Nagar, Miran Sahib, Jammu, Netaji Subash Academy Vijaypur, Samba, Parshant Public School, Udhampur, Govt. Middle School Girls, Rajbagh, Kathua, Govt. Middle School Boys, Kathua, Govt. Middle School, Hansli, Katra and Kendrya Vidalaya Shiv Pura, Srinagar.
