Jammu, Nov 1: Heritage School Jammu collaborated with Special Olympics Bharat, J&K and organized Special Olympics. The event began with a wonderful dance performance that was put up by the special children. The beautifully choreographed dance mesmerized one and all. This was followed by a unified floor-ball match. Later these children participated in the Art contest, where they made paintings on the theme 'Swachh Bharat'. The event was held under the guidance of Dr. Ashwini Jojra, State President, Special Olympics, Sahil Badyal, National Trainer, SOB and Satpal Singh, Sports Director, SOB. The programme culminated with the presentation of mementoes to the team from special Olympics Bharat J&K by the Vice-Principal Mahendra Kanwar. Avinash Gupta, Advisor, Sehyog India presented the vote of thanks. The entire programme reiterated the vision that students of all abilities have the power to positively impact their school communities by promoting social inclusion and creating acceptance for all; as is the Heritage School Ethos 'Vidya Dadati Vinayam'. |
