Kreeda Bharati presents Jijabai Sports Awards on Nov 10

JAMMU, Nov 7: Kreeda Bharati Jammu and Kashmir shall be honouring those outstanding and emerging sportspersons of the Union Territory with Jijabai Sports Awards in Bir Mata Jijabai Samman Samaroh to be held at Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Ambphalla in Jammu on November 10 at 4 pm.
The Awards shall be presented by the chief guest, Sports Minister of Uttar Pradesh and National President Kreeda Bharati, Chetan Chowhan along with other dignitaries.
It is pertinent to mention here that all Awards will be presented to parents of the sports achievers for their dedication and sacrifice in raising the sports stars. In total, 14 sportspersons have been selected from and among the profiles received across various sports disciplines by the committee set up for the purpose by the Kreeda Bharati J&K.
The selected sportspersons are Arun Malhotra (Football, SAF Games medallist), Saqlain Tariq (Volleyball, International medallist and Professional player), Rakesh Kumar (Archery, Selected for 2020 Olympics), Kumari Nisha (Archery, Bronze & Silver medal in Nationals), Shweta Thakur (Judo, World University Games), Shivani Charak (Sport Climbing, Asian Championship and Asia Cup), Vasu Sapolia (Athletics, Bronze, Silver medal in Junior Nationals), Divum Gupta (International participation and State Men's Champion), Shreya Gupta (International Fencer), Josh Pal Singh (Roller Skating, International medallist), Azmat Bibi (Karate, Commonwealth Championship Bronze medal), Meenal Gupta (Chess, International Medallist), Maan Singh (Boxing, Emerging Star), Pankaj Malhotra (Kho-Kho, International Test Matches).
