Zor Ka Jhatka!

Early Times Report

Srinagar, Nov 7: The two main regional parties of Jammu and Kashmir -the National Conference and the Peoples Democratic Party are likely to get shocker soon from some of their leaders who are planning to quit the twin parties in the coming times.
Sources said at least half a dozen leaders from the twin parties are willing to call it a day as they find their future insecure to be with the NC and PDP, alike.
It was reliably learnt that all such faces will quit their respective parties within a week as a shocker for their previous bosses.
Those who are likely to quit the party include former PDP MLAs from Srinagar and Baramulla districts as the two have been close to their former colleague, who was ousted from the party.
Sources said a section of leaders from the two parties have been holding deliberations with some other politicians linked to other parties to decide future course of action. A former MLA of NC from Srinagar is also likely to quit the party along with three of his cadres. Sources said such leaders believe that the NC and PDP not only failed to safeguard the special status of the state but couldn't even prevent their own arrest.
Such prospective rebels believe that staying with regional parties would not only mean wastage of time but would also mean to deceive the people.
"When the NC and PDP leaders have failed to safeguard anything what can be the future of being loyal to such parties? This question has been haunting the political landscape of Kashmir," said a political analyst in the know of the political developments in the state.
It is pertinent to mention that some of the senior leaders of the twin parties have been detained since the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5.
The NC and PDP leadership is often being accused of having been exploited the power for personal gains whereas they never bothered to strengthen the special status of the erstwhile state.
