Settlement Commissioner reviews progress on land record digitization of Jammu District

JAMMU, Nov 7: Settlement Commissioner Revenue, Syed Shah Nawaz Ahmed today chaired a meeting of the senior officers of Revenue Department to review the various issues related to writing of Jamabandi of Jammu District and digitization of land records.
The meeting was attended by the Regional Director, Survey and Land Record, R K Shavan, ADC Jammu Dr Tahir Firdous, Assistant Settlement Officer Jammu Khalid Wafa, Assistant Commissioner Jammu, Vijay Kumar, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other concerned officers of Revenue Department.
While reviewing the meeting, the Settlement Commissioner impressed upon the concerned Tehsildars of Jammu District to take regular review in the field and speed up the process of writing of Jamabandi.
The Settlement Commissioner also asked that the Jamabandi should come for digitalization after proper conducting of verification as per instruction of standing order No. 22.
During the meeting, the Tehsildars also briefed the Settlement Commissioner about the status of writing of Jamabandi and other issued being faced by them during the process.
Later, he visited the Central Record Room at Gole Gujral and inspected the digitalization, scanning and quality check process of land record and cadastral map.
During the visit, he interacted with the management of Ram Tech Private Limited and asked them to deploy more man power in Jamabandi, digitalization sections to speed up the whole process.
