JAMMU, Nov 7: By not establishing paddy purchase centers Government has betrayed the farmers of the Jammu region.
Senior Congress Leader Choudhary Mohan singh while taking serious exception to the same has urged the administration to establish the purchase centers. Every year Government establishes purchase centers to purchase the paddy from farmers. But this year these centers were not established due to which farmers are in trouble. The farmers were forced to sale their produce in distress at very low cost. The millers are not purchasing the paddy at Government approved rates. The purchase centers which would have started.
