11/8/2019 12:07:00 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 7: The under-graduate students of Cluster University of Jammu (CUJ), under the banner of National Secular Forum (NSF), today held protest against the varsity authorities for conducting the semester examination in illogical manner. The protest was led by National Secular Forum (NSF) district President Anshu Sharma. Protesting students raised slogans against the CUJ authorities and blamed them for mismanagement in the examination affairs which was adversely affecting the students. Students told that varsity had preponed the examination from December to November without taking students into confidence. They also told that regular as well as private examinations was being conducted simultaneously leaving no time for those who have backlog papers in previous semesters. Anshu Sharma, who was leading the protest, said that Registrar had promised to consult the students before finalizing the examination but betrayed them and announced the examination in arbitrary manner and left students with no option other than to hit the roads.
He alleged that due to lack of planning at the end of CUJ authorities students were being made to suffer as students with Science Stream getting lesser time in between the paper than their Arts counterpart. He warned the authorities of intensifying the protest in case their demands were not acceded.
