| ADDC recovers Rs 5 Lakh from RDD officials | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, Nov 25: In two separate incidents, 5.29 lakh was recovered by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Ramban, Nawab Din from officials of Rural Development Department (RDD) working in block Rajgarh and Gandhri. The recovery was made on two complaints lodged at ADDC office by the local residents of two blocks. ADDC also visited the sites of works and initiated enquiry for making recovery of the embezzled funds.
The first incident took place at block Rajgarh where a local Village Level Worker Mohd qbal constructed Community Sanitary Complex in his own house instead of a location identified by the Gram Panchayat and local people.
He embezzled an amount of Rs. 1.41 lakhs from the block level SBM account which was later on deposited back to the account by official. Similarly Rs. 3.88 lakhs was drawn for protection work by VLW Shamas Din at Kowara in block Gandhri under CDS and was not paid to the vendor Mohan Lal s/o Gyan Chand who had actually undertaken the protection work. After making recovery, the amount was deposited to BDO account by the VLW. |
