Jammu, Nov 25: Dr. K.S.Rissam, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu inaugurated one day awareness cum demonstration workshop held under TIME LEARN programme, Department of Science and Technology, Govt of India at Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, SKUAST Jammu R.S. Pura to review the research projects going on in the three States of J&K, H.P. and UK .Farmers from district Jammu, Samba, and Reasi also participated. The workshop began with an exhibition of latest technologies developed under different projects for improved production in Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry. The exhibition was an exemplary illustration of transfer of technology from lab to land, after the exhibition a Farmer-Scientist discussion was also held, which was highly beneficial for the farming community. The Vice Chancellor ensure conduct of training progarmmes shall be conducted in far flung areas of Jammu districts as demanded by the farmers attending the programme. He further said the University is always ready to help the farming community. |
