Atal Dullo seeks timely completion of Health Deptt's languishing projects

JAMMU, Dec 30: Financial Commissioner, Health and Medical Education Department, Atal Dulloo, today directed the Jammu Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation Limited, J&K Housing Board and Police Housing Corporation to complete the languishing projects of the Health Department being executed by them in a time bound manner.
Atal Dulloo issued the directions at a meeting convened to review the pace of progress on Languishing Projects of the department, here at Civil Secretariat.
The meeting was attended by Director Health Services, Jammu, Renu Khajuria; Principal, Government Medical College, Jammu, Sunanda Raina; Director, Indian System of Medicine J&K, Mohan Singh; Managing Director, J&K Medicines Supplies Corporation Limited, Shiv Kumar Gupta; Managing Director, Housing Board, Tassaduq Jeelani; Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K, Bhupinder Kumar; Joint Director (Planning) H&ME, Madan Lal and officers from JKPCC, PHC and other departments. Other officials from Kashmir division attended the meeting through video conferencing.
The FC, while taking project wise review, directed the executing agencies to follow all norms and regulations in the execution of projects.
He also directed Director Health Services Kashmir to personally monitor the work on all projects for their time bound completion.
Meanwhile, the FC reviewed the provision for Annual Demand of Drugs and asked the officers to project their annual requirements at the earliest, so that same can be pursued with the Finance department.
In a separate meeting, Atal Dullo reviewed the medical facilities being set up by the health department for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2020.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary to Lieutenant Governor, Bipul Pathak; Director Health Services, Jammu, Renu Khajuria; Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K, Bhupinder Kumar; Additional Chief Executive Officer (ACEO), Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB); Anup Kumar Soni and other officers.
The Additional Chief Executive Officer, SASB, gave various suggestions for augmenting health care facilities for the intending yatris, most of which were given due consideration.
He also expressed gratitude to the Health Department for ensuring efficient health care facilities in 2019 and said that SASB will provide all kind of logistical support needed for ensuring better health care services to the pilgrims in future.
Director Health Services, Kashmir, Samir Mattoo, along with other officers, attended the meeting through video conferencing. He also gave his suggestions for providing better health services.
