District Court conducts trials of prisoners through video conferencing | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Dec 30: District court Kishtwar started the trial of prisoners from jail with the mode of video conferencing to expedite the disposal of court cases. The Munsiff/JMIC Kishtwar Munish K. Manhas took initiative to conduct trial through VC to avoid the delay in trial of under-trial cases. System Officer Rizwan Ajaz Bhat with System Assistant Vishal Koul installed video conferencing system in the Court room and trail was successfully connected with Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu for attendance of the accused under-trial through Video Conference. Terming it an important step in the speedy delivery of justice, Pr. Distt & Session Judge Kishtwar Sham Lal Lalhal said that video conferencing will be used for extending judicial remands of accused before or during trial without producing the under-trial prisoners before Court. He said that this will not only save time of Courts but it will also save resources of the State which is being spend in producing accused or under-trial prisoners before Court. |
