JAMMU, DECEMBER 30: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Sanjeev Verma today directed the Deputy Commissioners to identify the vulnerable roads which needs repair /maintenance in districts of the division.
The Div Com passed these directions while chairing a meeting convened to discuss road accidents, identification of vulnerable points, roads need to be repair.
A threadbare discussion was held on the vulnerable points identified by the IG Traffic, which need early repairs and points where signages are required.
Div Com directed NHAI, NHIDCL, PWD and other executing agencies to early install sign boards, crash barriers on the roads at vulnerable points. The Div Com also asked the DCs to constitute a committee comprising officers of Traffic and other concerned departments for this purpose.
The meeting was attended by Additional Commissioner, R K Srangal, ADC Jammu, Tahir Firdous, General Manager, NHIDCL, R P Mishra, Project Director NHAI, Ajay Kumar Rajak and other concerned officers and Deputy Commissioners of Samba, Kathua and Ramban through video conferencing |
