Kathua, Dec 30: Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated its much awaited Annual Sports Meet with much zeal, enthusiasm and magnanimity. The overcast sky failed to dent the enthusiasm of the Management, Principal,Vibrant Sanskritians, dedicated staff members and the motivating audiences as they warmly welcomed Mr O P Bhagat (KAS), Dy Commissioner Kathua, Chief Guest and Mr Ramnish Gupta (KPS),Add'l SP Kathua as Guest of honour.
Jury Members to assess the Best Marching Squad were Mr. Majid Mehboob (KPS),DSP Headquarters and Mr KD Bhagat (DSP DAR) along with Special Guests which were T.R Mangotra(CEO Kathua), Mr. Sunil Kumar ( District Sports Officer Youth Service), Dr. Balwinder Singh (Physical Director GDC Kathua), S. Iqbal Singh (Manager District Sports Kathua), Mr. Sharad ( Inspector cum Athlete who lead the Indian Athletic Team),Mr. Pankaj Sapolia (Judo Coach), Mr Radhey Kumar Central Sports (BSF) who created record in World Police and Fire Games held at Chengdu in China. Mr. Jagdev Singh ( kho-kho player) Mr Sanjeev (Gold medalist in junior and All India Inter University in Athletics ), Rajendra Singh Bhadwal (Football coach), Pushp Thakur, (Player who represented India in South Asian Championship held at Phuentsholing (Bhutan), esteemed gathering ,media personnel ,parents and declared with a lionhearted loud roar the Sports Meet Open.
O P Bhagat (KAS), Deputy Commissioner Kathua congratulated and appreciated the students and staff of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua family to have made sports an integral part of the curriculam.He further stated that the theme Young India Fit India is a much required need of the hour for the schools to adapt and practice.Mr. Ramnish Gupta Add'l SP Kathua was mesmerized on seeing both the sports and cultural activities presented by the students. He further stated that through games students imbibe the qualities of discipline, sportsmanship and commitment.
The event concluded with Aditi khajuria Head Girl of the school proposing the vote of thanks to everyone for their benign presence and endless cooperation, she mentioned a special thanks to the District Stadium authorities for their unconditional support without which the event was not possible.
