District Open Table Tennis Championship Concludes

UDHAMPUR, Dec 30: District Udhampur Open Table Tennis Championship Organised by District Table Tennis Association Udhampur in collaboration with J&K Sports Council under the aegis of J&K Table Tennis Association concludes here at Indoor Sports Hall Subash Stadium. Former MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia was the Chief Guest where as Smt Preeti Khajuria & S.E Kuldee Badyal were the guest of honor. Earlier General Secretary Tarun presented welcome address. In his address, he appreciated the young talent of District Udhampur. He said that District Table Tennis Association is working continuously to uplift the talent of youngsters & only motive behind to organise the tournament is to channelise the energy of youngsters into positive directions. Around 120 participants from every nook & corner of the district were participated in this championship.
Chief Guest on the occasion Balwant Singh Mankotia (Former MLA) conveys his best wishes to all the players & the members of Association.
In Sub Junior Boys: Sourav Sharma beat Madhav Sharma by 3-2
In Junior Boys: Madhav Sharma beat Prince Gupta by 3-2. In Junior Girls: Sonali Rajput beat Palak Khajuria by 3-1
In Senior Boys: Gourav Sharma beat Harshit by 3-1. In Senior Girls: Pratibha beat Siya Sharma by 3-3
Vinod Kumar Baru (President), Tarun General Secretary, Prikshit Khajuria (Treasurer), Ankit Sharma (Joint Secretary), Akash Sharma Organising Secretary, Sunny Sharma Vice President Akhil Bandral, Manager Sports Council Shaktish Chopra, Karun Magotra, Sanjeev Verma, Sanjay Sharma were also present.
Matches were officiated by Maninder Singh, Varun Gupta, Sourav Sharma, Vipin etc
Later, Prizes was distributed among winners & runners.
