Madhav asks leaders, party workers to raise restoration of J&K's statehood

Jammu, Dec 30: In a recently visit to Jammu and Kashmir, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary Ram Madhav has reportedly conducted closed door meeting with the party workers and leaders in the valley, wherein he has stressed to raise the J&K's restoration of statehood.
Ram Madhav in a closed door meeting in valley, last week was attended by party workers and politicians of BJP. During the close door meeting, Madhav urged that the senior leaders of BJP from J&K should seek restoration of statehood putting all their strength.
The direction from Ram Madhav comes after the centre abrogates the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcate the region into two separate Union Territories on August 5. Ram Madhav was on his second tour to the valley post August 5.
A top BJP party functionary who was there in the meeting told Early Times that Ram Madhav passed many directions that included taking up the issue of restoration of statehood of Jammu and Kashmir. He added, "Ram Madhav also directed the party leaders and workers to take up the public issue as well and listen to the grievances of local people".
He added that Ram Madhav also asked us to act like a mature politicians and told us to go and meet the local people talk to them and listen to their problems and solve them as it is the duty of BJP to take care of society.
Another top BJP party functionary added, "We have been strictly told to look into the problem and act like a mainstream leaders and we have been looking forward to do what the directions have been passed by senior politician". He added that BJP is also trying to gain stronghold in all the regions of the valley and have already achieved a lot in last many months. It is pertinent to mention here that during the recent visit, BJP's General Secretary had said that the release of detained political leaders and restoration of internet will be done on appropriate time and final call will be taken by Jammu and Kashmir's administration.
It is pertinent to mention here that many mainstream leaders affiliated with different political organisation continue to be remain detained from last more than four months.
