JKNPP to dedicate 2020 for Jammu's empowerment: Harsh
12/31/2019 8:53:30 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 31: Announcing the resolve of Panthers Party to dedicate the year 2020 for empowerment of Jammu, Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and former Minister today said that a full throttle campaign shall be launched from the very beginning of the new year to oppose, expose and to depose the forces inimical to the interests of Jammu region.
"The dogra land has continued to remain neglected even after the abrogation of Art 370 with all assurances on the subject by the ruling BJP having fallen flat. The development projects have come to grinding halt and the economy is also in shambles due to unwarranted restrictions and shutdown of mobile internet services.
The significant tourism and development schemes including Artificial Tawi Lake project, Mubarak Mandi Heritage project, Bagh-e-Bahu-Maha maya Cable Car project, Smart City project, Beautification of Raghu Nath Bazaar, Metro Rail project, construction of Flyovers etc all seem to have been abandoned which otherwise could have given a new face left to the city of temples and its suburbs", regretted Singh.
"The plight of border dwellers is equally pathetic with none to address their ever growing concerns. While the govt was quick to announce Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for the orchardists of Kashmir which has further been extended up to March 2020 by a recently issued order, the farmers of Jammu region have been left high and dry with no announcement having been made for compensation of their losses.
Referring to the denial of holiday on Maharaja Hari Singh's birthday, Singh said that the narrative scripted by BJP after its ascendance to power had given the deadliest blow to dogra pride. Not only had it failed to satisfy the most coveted demand of dogras for holiday on 23rd September, but was shamelessly justifying the new calendar which had shown the greatest disrespect to the legendary dogra hero.
While the BJP govt had been trying its best to suppress and muzzle all voices of dissent, the intrepid and indefatigable Panthers had also vowed to take the cause of Jammu region to a logical conclusion, said Mr. Singh. He appealed the civil society, youth and students to support Panthers Party in the coming year so as to help it secure the real empowerment of Jammu and its people.
