Jammu, Dec 31: Jammu and Kashmir took first inning lead to seal three crucial points against Haryana in a four day in Col C K Nayudu trophy, while Haryana secured only one point. Jammu and Kashmir earlier won the toss and opted to bat first. Batting first Jammu and Kashmir scored 349 runs in first innings. Jammu and Kashmir kept losing wickets at early stage of the game but it was It was the 93 runs knock by Lone Nasir Muzaffar, Sunil Kumar's 68 and Muneeb Munaf's 58 runs that helped Jammu and Kashmir to score big in the first innings. While as other batsman added a score of 12, 20, and 46 runs.
At the same time middle order of Jammu and Kashmir failed to score a run yet again which is a sign a worry for selectors. Selectors have to give chance to other players to showcase their class. For Haryana V N Sharma took four wickets at an economy of 1.87 runs in 32 over's.
Coming to bat in first inning failed to touch the score of Jammu and Kashmir and fell short by 69 runs. Haryana team scored 280 in the first inning of the match.
For Haryana none of the batsman could click except S R Singroha who scored 87 runs to keep the host in game. And, Ankit Phagna scored 63 runs and a tail ender M S Rathee scored 42 runs but that was not enough to take the lead in first innings against Jammu and Kashmir.
For Jammu and Kashmir Lone Nasir Muzaffar took six wickets in 24.5 over's with an economy of 3.91 runs. Learning lesson from first innings, Jammu and Kashmir scored 214 runs for the loss of three wickets taking the game into fourth day and drawing the match. For Jammu and Kashmir Vivrant Sharma scored 104 runs in the second innings.
