| Chairman PCB reviews functioning of Board | | |

JAMMU, Dec 31: Chairman Pollution Control Board Suresh Chugh today convened a meeting to review the functioning of department at PCB Head Office Jammu.
Member Secretary B.M. Sharma, Regional Director, Jammu Dr. Syed Nadeem Hussain, Regional Director Kashmir Mohd Rafi, Environment Engineer, Principal Scientific Officer, AEE Head Quarter and Divisional Officers of Jammu Division also attended the meeting.
The Chairman reviewed the progress made on the implementation of various directions of the National Green Tribunal issued in the recent months including allocation of Pin Codes of Govt. & Private Health Care Facilities, Inspection of Industries, Pendency of Authorization cases of Govt. Hospitals, pendency of online cases etc.
He emphasized on regular checking of polythene below 50 microns available in the market so that the banned polythene is seized. He further directed the officers to play a pro-active role in this regard as the menace of various pollution activities is increasing day by day and people are looking towards the PCB for redressal of their grievances. |
