Amit leads Noble CSR Initiatives in GMC & Associated Hospitals in 2020

Jammu, January 1, 2020 : On the maiden day of new year, Amit Sharma, Administrator, GMC and Associated Hospitals Jammu today kick-started noble CSR initiatives and special donation campaigns inside Government Medical College Complex and Associated Hospitals Jammu in consultation with Principal GMC Jammu and Medical Superintendents of Associated Hospitals.

Administrator Amit Sharma today inaugurated a free food and tea/snacks distribution Camp as a part of New Year’s CSR Initiative which was organised through Hardware Paint & Sanitary Dealers Association Jammu at GMC Jammu wherein lot of Dealers led from the front including Neeraj Gupta, President, Varun Sharma, Vice-President, Naresh Chopra, Subhash Nanda and Vishal Bhat representing the said Association. Food items, tea and biscuits were distributed amongst the people who were present in long queues for same since early morning. The Association thanked the Administrator for giving them an opportunity to take lead for this noble CSR initiative in GMC and they resolved to further help the needy people by organising a Blood Donation Camp this month only as advised by him. They also honoured Administrator before conclusion of this Camp.

Administrator Amit Sharma mentioned on the occasion that lot of CSR activities are being lined-up in the coming days and months including organisation of Blood Donation Camps, Medical Equipment Donation Drives, Blankets/Accessories Donation Camps and he is already in touch with lot of Corporates, Trade Bodies etc for same, especially due to his long old association with them due to previous stints as MD, J&K SIDCO, Director FCS&CA and other related domains.

Subsequently, Amit Sharma also took a surprise morning round of Emergency Wing of GMC Jammu, OPD Halls, Wards to check the presence and other arrangements and gave several instructions to CMO on duty Dr Tehmena Malik which were noted down by her for compliance. He strictly directed nurses and para medical staff to maintain total punctuality and wear aprons and uniforms during duty hours alongwith displaying name-plates on them prominently for the convenience of patients and general public.

Finally, Administrator Amit Sharma also took a review of Security within the GMC with Security Incharge Capt Ram Pal and directions were given for carrying out regular drill, fitness and strict maintenance of roster by all deployed staff 24x7 there. Also, GMC PP Incharge and BSF Commandant were given directions to provide full security to Doctors, Para Medical Staff and Patients inside the Campus, especially inside the Emergency Block towards which they assured full compliance in future.
