Mayor inaugurates super deluxe toilet complex

Jammu, Feb 1: Continuing the drive to provide better development as well as basic facilities to the people of Jammu, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta today on conducted an extensive tour in the different areas of ward no.48 and inaugurated a super deluxe toilet complex at Sheikh Nagar near Shiv temple (Bahu Fort) of ward no.48 . This was the long pending demands of the residents and shopkeepers of that locality as most of them belong to below poverty line and there was no such type of toilet facility in the whole area. This toilet Complex consists of three units for ladies & Gents separately alongwith urinals and a caretaker room and has been constructed at the estimate cost of Rs 10.50 lacs by Voluntary organization on environment & Social Economic Planning (VOESEP) under Swacch Bharat Mission & will be properly maintained by this organization. Arun Gupta XEN, Anil Gupta AEE, Concerned Junior Engineer, representatives of VOESEP, inhabitants of ward no.48 & other prominent citizens & shopkeepers were also present during the tour who thanked the Mayor for this prestigious & much needed super deluxe toilet unit. Mayor appealed to the gathering to come forward and cooperate with Jammu Municipal Corporation in other development activities being undertaken by them, plant more & more saplings in their localities, donot throw garbage, filth etc in the public drains/nallahs , adopt the habit of segregation of household wet and dry garbage in separate dustbins, avoid using polythenes & plastics in their routine work so that Jammu can be made a model & smart city.
