2 boys held while trying to cross LoC in Baramulla

BARAMULLA, Feb 1: Two students of class 11th who were arrested while trying to cross Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, after which they were handed over to their families today, while as 5 youth of south Kashmir were earlier handed over to their families.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, Abdul Qayoom in a press conference said that, two young boys namely Nadeem Ayoub Dar S/O Mohammad Ayoub Dar R/O Shopian, Shakir Ahmad Dar S/O Mohammad Ishaq Dar R/O Batpora Pulwama of south Kashmir village were apprehended in Gantmulla area of Baramulla by a joint team of forces during naka.
"During investigation they revealed that they had purchased a JK map and then were planning to go to other side, once reached Baramulla both spent night at mosque and next day they started moving towards Uri where both were apprehended by joint team of forces at Gantmulla, said SSP Baramulla.
SSP said that after questioning and proper counseling both young boys were reunited with their respective families and were advised to shun the path of violence and concentrate on their studies.
Soon after receiving their kids, one of the parents said that," I would like to request all the parents especially of south Kashmir that they should give focus on the studies of their children in a proper way, and counsel them as much as possible.
It is pertinent to mention here that last year Baramulla police handed over five youth to their parents who had tried to exfilitrate to the other side of LoC in north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Dec 20th.
In the same way, five youth of Pulwama district of South Kashmir had come across to Baramulla district so that they can exfiltrate the border with the help of , 'Oxford School Atlas' which they had carried with them.
