OBCs term new reservation rules a fraud with them
2/1/2020 10:38:31 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Feb 1: There is a brewing resentment among the people belonging to other backward classes in the J& K against the new reservation policy in the UT announced by Government yesterday.
The people of OBC communities feel cheated by the Government decision and term it usurping of their Constitutional rights.
The OBCs of both the divisions of UT including Jammu and Kashmir are shocked over the decison saying that Government has failed to provide justice to them.
The resentment among the OBC people has come from Kashmir Valley mostly and representatives of the community in the Valley term the decision unfortunate.
Sources said OBC bodies of both the regions have decided to launch a joint struggle against Government decision and condemned the same in strongest terms.
Sources said soon after the issuance of notification the leaders of OBC organisations discussed the issue and decided to launch a decisive battle against the decision which they termed is anti Constitution.
Objecting the decision Abdul Rashid an OBC leader from Valley said if 27 percent reservations are given to OBCs in entire country why not J&K.
He questioned what happened to the announcement one nation one law.
Sources said the Valley based OBC leaders while supporting their Jammu brothers have decided to launch a united struggle for the cause as Government has forced them to come to steets to fight for justice.
Sources said OBC leaders are of the opinion that the anuling of Article 370 has not served any purpose for OBCs as they continue to face the problem which existed J&K, sources added.
While condemning the decision AIBCU general secretary Prof Kali Dass said the BJP claims have proved hollow of implementing 800 Central laws in the State.
We had pinned high hopes in present Government but it proved worst than its previous dispensations so far as providing justice to OBCs of J&K is concerned. For us 370 is concerned.
Bansi Lal Choudhary convener OBC Mahasabha said the decision is not acceptable to OBC and the community will launch a decisive battle for it's rights. He said increasing reservation from 2 percent to 4 percent for OSCs is an eyewash and same is not acceptable.
