Reasi, Feb 4: Around 26 posts of ICDS Supervisors out of 44 sanctioned posts have been lying vacant but Social Welfare Department seems least bothered to take note of the issue.
Sources told Early Times that there are 4 ICDS projects in the Reasi district in which around 26 posts of ICDS supervisors are lying vacant which have been affecting the functioning of Anganwari centers. In Reasi tehsil, six posts are lying vacant out of 10 sanctioned posts, in Pouni tehsil, out of 8 posts, 4 are vacant, in Arnas tehsil, out of 9 posts 5 are vacant, and in Mahor tehsil, 11 posts are vacant out of 17 posts.
Local said that Anganwari workers have been engaged as incharge supervisors but are being paid salary of workers. In absence of adequate staff, functioning of Anganwari workers has affected a lot. |
